French animation auteur Sylvain Chomet has revealed he's working on a spin-off to The Triplets of Belleville, his Oscar-nominated 2003 film. Set during the era of the Sputnik satellite, the new project will revive the original’s surreal, dialogue-free style — with funding currently in the works.
